We believe that all humanitarian professionals—from entry-level to director—should be equipped with the skills they need to make crucial decisions with confidence, in environments that challenge even the most experienced development professionals.
The Core Skills Development Programme is part of the umbrella Context Humanitarian Skills Development Programme, which aims to increase the capacity of Bangladesh-based humanitarian and disaster response professionals.
How is the Course Structured?
The Core Skills programme is a 6 monthprogramme that consists of: pre-course assessments, 2 four-day workshops, co-participant led buddy groups, and self-directed learning with ongoing support via our online learning portal.
- Workshop 1 dates:November 30-December 3, 2015
- Workshop 2 dates: March 6-9, 2016
Who Should Attend?
- All Humanitarian professionals currently based in Bangladesh
- All participants should currently work in organisations providing humanitarian response or support (ex. INGOs, NGO, UN agencies, government agencies, civil society groups,...).

- Multiple methods of engagement, including seminar lectures, class discussions, practical group exercises and case studies to fully engage you, giving you the tools to replicate the knowledge you gain, in your job
- Access to MzN International's e-learning portal, complete with programme training materials, useful case studies, reference material and direct contact with trainers for on-going support & advice
Programme Cost
The programme cost per participant varies based on the size and nature of the participant’s organization. Small and/or local organizations may be eligible to receive a reduced rate.
• Standard Rate (per participant): USD 200
All fees include tuition, coaching, training material, lunch & refreshments during residential workshops, and access to MzN International's Online learning portal. Participants are responsible for covering the cost of accommodation and travel to the training.
